It swings a little bit faster, but overall it's not as useful to the Knight as the longer-reaching Sword. The Short Sword is much like the Regular Sword but, of course, with a little bit shorter range. The Mace is a good alternative for fast-swinging primary weapons like the Longsword thanks to its Blunt damage type. However, it makes up for these downsides with an increase in damage per hit. The Mace is a bit different than the Sword because it swings slower at a shorter range, much like its larger Heavy Mace counterpart. In Chivalry 2, this weapon is useful for Knights who want to duke it out against other heavily armored opponents without having to give up their primary weapon slot. The Morning Star is an iconic weapon of the Middle Ages, being a spiked metal ball on top of a long-reaching club. Morning Star - Brutal Morning Star, Morning Star It's by no means a bad option, though, as it's got a good balance between reach and swing speed (for a side weapon). The regular Sword is one of the Knight's choices for a secondary weapon – usually, it's the default choice for players who haven't taken a lot of time to play with other side weapon options. Some of the better choices for secondary weapons for the Knight follow. When a Knight goes up against a Footman, for example, the slow-to-swing Heavy Mace might not be as effective as a Short Sword at repelling such a fast attacker. Side weapons for the Knight class in Chivalry 2 are comprised of a variety of shorter-range, less powerful melee weapons. Having a secondary weapon out instead of the primary one can mean getting more hits overall at the cost of power. Players attack noticeably slower wielding certain weapons, particularly the stronger and longer weapons like the Pole Axe. Side weapons are Chivalry 2 weapons that players typically bring out when their primary weapon just won't cut it against specific classes. Be sure to try out all of the options, even the bad ones, to figure out what playstyle works for you. The Longsword, on the other hand, can be paired with a Shield, though it of course deals far less damage. The Battle Axe, for example, hits like a truck but leaves players open with its long attack animation. Of the four classes, the Knight is the most geared for close-quarters fights, though the best Knight weapons in Chivalry 2 sacrifice defense for sheer power. The game is criminally underrated, as it offers some of the most fun, bombastic, and surprisingly strategic medieval melee combat out there. Updated Jby Erik Petrovich : After Chivalry 2 released on Steam the game has seen a steady rise in the playerbase on PC. The best way to play a Knight, though, is to be unafraid of close combat and take advantage of its short-range, high-damage weapons. Precious. The best Chivalry 2weapons available to Knights tend to be short-ranged, although there are a few exceptions like spears and poleaxes. Torn Banner if you are reading this, PLEASE don’t ever change a thing about the battle axe. Forget the war axe and the dane axe, those things are pathetic compared to the might of a battle axe! My point is, the battle axe is a secret weapon that should only be deployed if you truly want to see mayhem. I am having more fun than ever before now that i’ve found this gem! I don’t know how else to say this but i was street-sweeping bodies left and right with that thing! I shit you not in just a handful of matches i had twice as many lifetime kills with my level 9 battle axe (160) than my level 22 dane axe (92) and felt like a monster! I would get into a match and body everyone i came across till i would get surrounded by 3 or more opponents I’m not even exaggerating. Then the other day i got bored of it then decided to try the battle axe again since it’s been actual months since i’ve used it. I love the vanguard class and axes in general so i was one of those people who used the dane axe and nothing else once I discovered how good it is. As far as axes go, rarely do i ever see anyone using the battle axe, it’s always the dane axe or the war axe. We all also know that there are more frequently used weapons than others like the Messer, greatsword, and falchion for their overall effectiveness. I like to give them all a chance as i know it comes down to skill and and efficiency to be good with anything. I have been playing Chiv 2 since the first day of beta and have used every weapon in the game.
